WEB-BASED BMS: QUALITY MODULE

Mireaux's Web-Based Quality Management System's Quality module has several components that, together, help satisfy different aspects and requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard.  Below is a brief explanation of each one of them.

Quality Policy

One of the pinnacle requirements to achieve ISO 9001 certification is to have a company Quality Policy. This module makes it easy to display your Quality Policy. Posting the quality policy online is typically more effective and influential on the employees than posting the policy across the building.

Quality Manual

A stated requirement in the ISO 9001 standard is to have a Quality Manual that contains a Quality Policy, required and non-required procedures and the processes -sequence and interaction - specific to the organization seeking certification. With its collapsible and expandible views of each chapter, this module makes it easy to create a Quality Manual, where one can easily find the latest revision of all components required by the standard. Posting the Quality Manual online ensures that it is used more than when placed in binders.

Process Flow

One of the most important aspects introduced by the ISO 90001:2008 standard and also used by the ISO 27001:2005 standard is the process approach to implementing a Quality or Information Security Management System (QMS or ISMS). This very approach creates a need to define the processes specific to the organization and the relationship between them. The process flowchart becomes the foundation from which you can identify the necessary procedures. This module helps you create the organization process flowchart with hot links to sub flowcharts or procedures, which helps to navigate and find information faster.

Internal Audits

A requirement of any ISO standard and a key element of a good Quality Management System is to perform Internal Audits of the organization’s QMS at periodic Intervals. This module manages the entire ISO internal audit process, using simple  tools to prepare and conduct audits as well as to initiate corrective actions and maintain associated records - for one location or multiple locations. The result is a much simplified, consistent and mistake-proof way to keep your company’s QMS in check. Viewers can easily see on the intranet, a list of past or future audits and see all pertinent information related to them, such as audit plans, audit reports and findings.

External Audits

An essential requirement to obtain initial certification to ISO 9001 and to keep the certificate valid is to have an external company or “Registrar” perform audits of your Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance to the standard and to your own procedures. The interval between external audits is set between you and your registrar to accommodate your business needs. This module manages the entire External Audit process, including all necessary tools to initiate corrective action and maintain associated records - for one location or multiple locations. The result is a centralized location to keep your company’s external audit information visible to all. Viewers can easily see - from a web browser - a list of past or future audits and see all pertinent information related to it, such as audit plan, audit reports and findings.

Management Reviews

A requirement of ISO 9001 and a great exercise for any business is to perform Management Reviews of the organization’s QMS at periodic intervals to ensure its continuing suitability and effectiveness. This module manages the entire Management Review process, to prepare and conduct management reviews as well as to initiate action items or corrective action and maintain associated records - for one location or multiple locations. The result is a much simplified and consistent way to keep your top management aware of the status of your company’s QMS. Viewers can easily see a list of past or future management reviews and see all pertinent information related to it, such as management review agenda, presentation and action items.

Objectives

Part of the ISO 9001 continual improvement approach is to have measurable objectives that can help the company improve. This module serves as a centralized location where top management and all employees can visually see the status of selected objectives.

Customer Satisfaction

The ISO 9001:2000 standard places a large emphasis on customer satisfaction and makes customer needs and wants a priority.  This module helps you obtain customer feedback, positive or negative, that you can later use to improve your processes.
