VIDEO TRAINING, ONLINE TRAINING OR E-LEARNING


Video training, also known as online training or eLearning, is a recorded training session of any specific topic, composed of both audio and video recording.  The session is not live, but rather is made up using a comprehensive script that narrates the main essence of the topic chosen that play while the video plays.

The video may consist of powerpoint slides, web browser pages displayed on your intranet, applications, etc.  Every move made on the computer is displayed, as if a camcorder would have recorded it.  The video is enhanced with highlighted boxes, call out boxes, etc. to add more interest to the itraining.  When the audito and the video are published, it forms a nice synchronous training that is nice and easy to follow.

Delivery

Video training can be delivered on a class setup or can be posted on the intranet for direct viewing by each employee on their personal desktop.

It can also be accessed by employees at remote company locations-provided employees have access to the company intranet or can be given a copy of the Video Training on a CD ROM.

Quiz/Grade

Short and interactive quizzes can be incorporated throught out or at the end of the video training to maximize training retention. The quizzes can be:

Multiple choice
Require a written answer
Likert scale
Matching
Fill in the blank

E-mail results

Results obtained from the video training, such as attendance, grades, etc can be sent via e-mail to specified individuals, such as Training Managers or Human Resources personnel.  The same information can also be sent directory to applications used for maintenance of training records such as Mireaux Web Based BMS's Employee Development and Training application.
